The Ezekiel’s Bread is a something I’ve wanted to try for a long time but I really don’t eat bread that often (at home) to be honest. Just the occasional toast with eggs or PBJ. So one thing I really liked is that it supposed to be frozen, this is a pro because like I said I don’t eat that much bread, so I don’t have to worry about it going bad. It is a little pricier than the average whole wheat loaf, con. It definitely has a drier, earthier taste in my opinion. I like the taste of real grains but if you’re used to more processed bread it would be tough to make the leap. If you’re having a meat or veggie based sandwich I would definitely recommend using some mustard or oil. I would buy again!
Navitas Naturals Cacao nibs I really liked! Cacao is basically what chocolate is before any processing, bitter and not sweet, but full of more nutrients and obviously less sugar. I would not advise chocolate lovers to use as a substitute immediately but to mix some of these nibs in with your regular chocolate. I feel like the mind could be deceived since they look so similar. Great product for topping on oatmeal, baking with, or eating with some nuts or fruit.
Body Armor Super Drink was not my favorite. That being said I’m not a huge sports drink fan but I know after a long run or intense workout sometimes my body needs that sugar and those electrolytes. The taste wasn’t super syrupy but more than other sports drinks like Gatorade. The two flavors that were available for me to try were Strawberry Banana and Orange Mango. Unfortunately I dislike banana and mango flavored drinks, but opted for the later hoping the orange would overpower the mango. It didn’t quite overtake the mango flavor so it would be unfair for me to assess it. I did really appreciate the nutrition profile, especially the use of coconut water so I will definitely try to find the fruit punch flavor to try.
Hilary’s Eat Well the “World’s Best” Veggie Burger, I was recommended to try this burger by another RD. LOVE all the ingredients in this veggie burger because it is mainly veggies! The taste was really good, slightly dry so I added a little hummus and ate it sans bun. This could’ve been because I elected to use the toaster method. I had brought them to work and since they are not microwaveable that was my only other option. Would definitely be great grilled or pan fried though and will have to try that next time. The nutrition in these is great but it definitely took more than one for it to feel like a serving to me. But I eat a lot, so one patty might suffice for others.
Overall 4 great products and ones I will definitely buy and try again! Happy Friday!
Have you had any of these products before?? Liked or disliked?? Any you're interested in trying!?
