1. Floating
At the end of last year I tried one of the latest health trends- Floating! Basically there is a large floating tank (which has the option to close completely)and has about a foot of water and tons of Epsom salts. There’s also a light and relaxing music- both of which you can turn off. This type of sensory deprivation is apparently highly beneficial for relieving depression, anxiety, etc. and helping relaxation.I floated for 30 minutes shortly after the marathon and I definitely think it improved my muscle soreness… it was relaxing but also kind of freakyyyy! I think the first time is a bit of a shock so I would be more likely to get more relaxation going another time.
Since joining Class Pass I’ve fallen into the barre obsession and so far this is my favorite studio. I can’t believe how many small movements have such a big impact and leave me feeing sore. I’m also teaming up with my local Barre 3 to offer some nutrition services
Crispy Green reached out to me a couple months ago and ended up sending me a ton of crispy fruit and I love it! They are the perfect traveling snack and great to enjoy over the winter since some of my favorite fruit is out of season. It’s all real fruit- just dried!
Pat and I just returned from a Texas trip (which I’ll be recapping next week) to visit one of my best friends from college and it was just so great to see a friend I haven’t seen in months. This weekend I’m traveling to Pittsburgh to see my family and more friends. Super excited to go bridesmaid dress shopping on this trip as my best friend since I was 7 asked me to be her matron of honor! I’ve been a bridesmaid before but never a maid/matron- any tips?
This weekend marks six months since I’ve lost my dad and it still is painful every day… it’s so hard to describe and it’s frustrating because most people in my life have moved on and aren’t thinking about it anymore but obviously I still am. I’ve also had a few friends going through some grief recently and really loved these two articles that were shared on Facebook:
